Section 106 Project Review

The National Historic Preservation Act requires all federal agencies to consider what effects their actions may have on historic properties, including archaeological sites and the built environment. Here at SHPO, we consult with these federal agencies and their applicants to speak for the historic resources of Idaho. Explore the links below to find out more about the Section 106 process, and if you have any questions, our contact information follows.

To perform literature reviews (formerly record search), record resources, and create a Section 106 project for review, use the ICRIS.

Beginning January 25, 2024, all record searches and submittals will be conducted via the ICRIS.  To learn more visit: https://history.idaho.gov/shpo/icris/.
