The Rock Creek Station and Stricker Homesite dates from 1865 and includes the Rock Creek Store, Stricker House, a pioneer cemetery, and numerous outbuildings. This historic site, listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1980 and located south of Hansen, was an early transportation center serving the Oregon Trail, Overland mail stage route, and the Kelton Freight Road.
Today, visitors can still view the Rock Creek Store building, Stricker home, reconstructed summer house, and the Rock Creek Interpretive Center. The site features hands-on learning through special events and interpretive exhibits.
Rock Creek Station and Stricker Homesite are owned by the Idaho State Historical Society and managed cooperatively with the Friends of Stricker, Inc.
Admission to the site is free, but donations are welcomed.
