Variety from the Vaults: Fire Safety and Prevention

Variety from the Vaults is a free public program at the Idaho State Archives where you get to view historic collections that are normally tucked away in the vaults. This August is Smokey the Bear’s 80th birthday, and what better way to honor our nation’s very own fuzzy firefighter than to take a look at the history of Idaho forests — and fires. Staff have gathered photos, documents, and video for you to view. Come escape the heat and learn a little bit more about Idaho history!
