Homeschool Day: Native American Heritage Month

November is Native American Heritage Month! Join us on Homeschool Day between 10am-3pm to learn more about the 5 federally recognized tribes in Idaho by exploring the galleries. Participants will create a friendship necklace, inspired by a strand of blue beads given to Sacajawea by Lewis & Clark.

Storytimes at 10:30am and 12:00pm will feature Randy’L Teton’s book It’s Her Story: Sacajawea.

Homeschool students and their families are encouraged to explore the Museum and experience the stories of Idaho on selected Homeschool Days each month from 10am – 3pm. Admission is $3 per student (Youth 2 and up) and adults/teachers are free in a 1:1 ratio, any additional adults must pay regular admission. ISHS Members are free. Preregistration is required.
