Government Records
The Idaho State Archives (ISA), created by legislation in 1947, merged operations with the State Record Center in 2012 under House Bill 599. ISA preserves government records of administrative, fiscal, legal and long-term research value. ISA only accepts permanent, inactive records with definite historical significance. The State Record Center offers centralized storage and services to state agencies. Per Idaho Code 67-4126, the state archives is responsible for records management services.
