Wine, Eats, & Artifacts

Join us for the year’s Wine, Eats, & Artifacts annual gala hosted by the Foundation for Idaho History. Proceeds from this year’s gala will fund special exhibitions and initiatives for the upcoming year.

The Idaho State Historical Society (ISHS) continues to build on our over 140-year legacy of preserving and promoting Idaho history. We have grown from our original charge of chronicling the state’s story to engaging Idahoans through inspiring educational services that empower their decision making. 2026 marks the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution. As the nation honors this landmark moment, the Idaho State Museum is celebrating Idaho’s place in crafting a “more perfect union” through the collections of the ISHS with a new exhibition, Revolutionary Stories.

Through Revolutionary Stories, visitors will encounter our state’s founding moment through the original document appointing William H. Wallace governor of the newly created Idaho Territory. Explore a first-person pictorial account of the quest for life liberty and happiness evidenced in a cash book carried through the 1877 Flight of the Nez Perce. Discover Idaho’s role in the story of suffrage through a banner crafted by the women of Eastern Idaho during their landmark campaign for the vote. These objects and more will help tell Idaho’s story, an American tale, and ask visitors how they too fit into the revolutionary narrative of our nation.
