Federal agencies, local governments, and applicants for grants may need professional consulting services to meet the requirements of the Section 106 process or CLG grants.

The Secretary of the Interior’s Historic Preservation Professional Qualification Standards (62 FR 33719) establish the minimum qualifications for professionals in cultural resource fields. To assist project applicants, SHPO maintains a reference list of historic preservation consultants who have demonstrated that they meet these standards and have expressed interest in working in Idaho.
