First Thursday with Monique Michel

Join us at the Idaho State Museum for First Thursday on September 5, 2024, from 5:30-7pm, for a special, free presentation from Monique Michel, Director of Ballet Folklorico Mexico Lindo, that delves into the vibrant world of Mexican folk dancing. Through captivating visuals and music samples, Monique will illustrate how these dances are more than just performances—they are a connection to people’s heritage and identity. Learn about traditional costumes, the stories told through dance, and how these practices have continued and adapted in the Treasure Valley.

Admission is free for First Thursday from 5-8pm, and the Museum will be open for exploration during that time. Last admission is 7:15pm.

**Parking will be limited due to an event at Julia Davis Park. Please plan accordingly.**
