Nuestras Voces: Dia de los Muertos 

El 1ro y 2 de Noviembre, personas a lo largo de América Latina y los Estados Unidos celebran el Día de los Muertos. Esta festividad culturalmente significativa reconoce y celebra a los seres queridos fallecidos. Ofrendas como altares adornados con flores, velas y fotos del difunto, la preparación de comidas especiales, visitas a cementerios y más son tradiciones que se utilizan para que los vivos honren a los que han fallecido. Los habitantes de Idaho de ascendencia latinoamericana continúan con estas tradiciones multiculturales anualmente con reuniones que incluyen bailes, canciones y celebraciones de la vida.

On November 1 and 2, people throughout Latin America and the United States celebrate the Day of the Dead. This culturally significant holiday recognizes and celebrates deceased loved ones. Offerings such as altars adorned with flowers, candles and photos of the deceased, the preparation of special meals, visits to cemeteries and more are traditions used for the living to honor those who have passed away. Idahoans of Latin American descent continue these multicultural traditions annually with gatherings that include dance, song, and celebrations of life.

We invite you to join us in this conversation where we will be chatting with Monique Michel, owner and director of Ballet Folklorico Mexico Lindo and Moraima Fragiosa Manager de Idaho Brokerage House/Life Insurance and Tennyson Group/Financial Company

With them we will learn about how the new generations of Latinos living in Idaho are maintaining these traditions.
