The Idaho State Historical Society will begin its staged re-opening to the public beginning June 13, 2020. All ISHS sites will strictly adhere to the Governor’s “Idaho Rebounds” plan in addition to following social distancing and sanitization guidelines as outlined by the CDC and Idaho Department of Health and Welfare. Staff and visitor safety remains the highest priority and the ISHS staged re-opening plan will ensure all the necessary precautions are taken. You can view the Idaho State Historical Society’s phased re-opening plan below.

As of July 3, 2020, the Idaho State Historical Society, in accordance with city guidelines, is now requiring face coverings be worn at all sites in Boise by visitors and staff to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Complimentary face coverings will be provided upon request. We appreciate everyone doing their part to ensure our sites can safely remain open to the public. If you would like to learn more about the public health order mandating face coverings, visit cityofboise.org.
