Description
NEW LOCATION! ADA COMMUNITY LIBRARY
The Idaho State Historical Society (ISHS) has initiated an all-new book discussion series.
Join Steve Barrett, archivist, BSU adjunct faculty member, and coordinator of ISHS Abraham Lincoln: His Legacy in Idaho permanent exhibit.
For May—National Mental Health Month—we’ll feature Joshua Wolf Shenks book: Lincoln’s Melancholy: How Depression Challenged a President and Fueled His Greatness.
Shenk argues that lifelong, clinical depression was to Abraham Lincoln what polio was to Franklin Delano Roosevelt – an illness that not only challenged the 16th president, but in fact made him the human being he was to become.
