There are Many Ways to Support the Idaho State Historical Society
Created in 1881 and established as a state agency in 1907, the Idaho State Historical Society (ISHS) strategically deploys historic resources to benefit Idahoans though essential services including records management and dynamic public programs in education, preservation and stewardship, and technical assistance.
The Idaho State Historical Society is not fully supported with state funds, we raise about half our budget to support services and programs through membership, corporate and philanthropic gifts, and public and private grants.
Each year, over 100,000 people benefit from ISHS educational programs, tours and events, research use, and technical assistance. Annually, over 15,000 school- aged children benefit from ISHS programs and visits.
Support ISHS and inspire others to create a better future through historical understanding.
Your tax-deductible membership dues support exhibits, events, publications and programs, and as members you share with other Idahoans a common bond of heritage and pride.
There are many ways to contribute to the support the Idaho State Historical Society including to our Annual Fund, tribute or memorial gifts, Gem Circle Corporate Gifts, Adopt an Artifact program, and planned giving.
