The Idaho State Historical Museum, Old Idaho Penitentiary and Idaho State Archives all provide unique merchandise for sale in their on-site locations. ISHS also receives support from the sale of Historic License plates and special Idaho history publications.
Members of the Idaho State Historical Society and Friends of the Historical Museum receive a 10% discount on select purchases at the Museum Store, the Old Idaho Penitentiary Commissary and the Idaho State Archives.
Idaho State Historical Museum Store
We offer hundreds of unique items about Idaho and history to choose from including books, jewelry, basketry, pottery, purses, folk toys and more. Admission to the Museum is not required in order to visit and shop in the Store. Teachers can show their staff ID to receive a member discount of 10% off purchases. (208) 334-2120 ext. 20.
Old Idaho Penitentiary Commissary
The Commissary located at the Old Idaho Penitentiary historic site has a selection of items for purchase that are uniquely connected to the history and inmates who served time there. Historic photo reproductions make great gifts and decorations for home and office! The Idaho State Archives sells reproductions of historic photos, maps, blueprints, and much more.
