The Idaho State Historical Museum’s artifact collections contain over 250,000 items and provide a rich overview of Idaho’s history. The Museum holds the state’s largest collection of material culture related to Idaho’s heritage. Objects in the collections range from frontier firearms to Chinese coins to children’s toys of today. Only a fraction of the collections can be exhibited at any one time. The photographs on this page highlight a few artifacts not currently on exhibit and illustrate the variety found in our collections.
