Research Request

Idaho State Archives and Research Center staff is happy to help with questions by telephone, e-mail, fax or regular mail.  Requests are answered in the order received, regardless of the format in which they arrive.

There is no fee for basic reference services, such as explaining Idaho State Archives policies and procedures, describing collection holdings or discussing possible research strategies. A complete listing of fees is available for requests that require staff to access finding aids and collections, search for information or provide copies. ISA staff are unable to dedicate more than 30 minutes of research time per request. If more extensive research is required we may refer you to a private researcher who will work on your request for a separate fee.

So that we may readily respond to your request, please complete the following checklist:

MAKE YOUR REQUEST AS SPECIFIC AS POSSIBLE include dates, places, and individual's full names.  The further you can narrow the list, the faster we will be able to fulfill your needs.

INCLUDE YOUR NAME, MAILING ADDRESS, phone number, and e-mail address, so we can fulfill your order and provide other information, if necessary.
